The flat base model with remote panel is designed for normal sloped, singled roofs. It also works well with flat concrete tile or slate roofs. Solar Powered attic fans are eligible for a 30% Federal Tax Credit on the purchase price of the fan, installation labor charges, and sales tax. On a north-facing roof slope the remote panel can be placed over the ridge on the south side, allowing the solar panel to catch the most direct sun.
